Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park is the perfect destination for your next educational excursion and appeals to students of all ages.
In the Studies of Society and Environment (SOSE) Syllabus one of the core content strands is Culture and Identity and a trip to Tjapukai fits perfectly with the five key curriculum elements:

Park Entry

Includes The History Theatre, Creation Theatre and Tjapukai Dance Theatre together with demonstrations of the Didgeridoo and Bush Food and Medicine Show plus Boomerang and Spear Throwing. Takes 3 hours for a group of up to 30 students - more for larger groups. Admission costs vary depending on age. For every 15 paying students one teacher/adult can accompany the group free of charge.

Optional Upgrades

- Cultural Sharing Session: Incorporate a ˝ hour cultural sharing session with an Aboriginal presenter.
- Boomerang Painting: Includes 1 Boomerang Painting Box containing paints, brush, cleaning cloth, certificate, interpretative notes and returning boomerang. An Aboriginal presenter will give an explanation and demonstration of interesting aspects of Aboriginal art. The students then have the opportunity to paint their own boomerang with the assistance of the Aboriginal presenter.
- Lunch: Very reasonably prices are available for student groups. Take the hassle away and let the students eat out for the day!
- Aboriginal Guide: Have your own Aboriginal guide to escort your student group around the park. Also includes a ˝ hour cultural sharing session. A great opportunity for the students to ask as many questions as they like.
- Face Painting: The younger students love this one but also those groups who really want to feel a part of the whole Tjapukai experience. Each student will have their face painted using traditional methods.
