A state of the art projector and cinema size screen enhance a 20 minute audio visual presentation of the history of the Tjapukai since the coming of the white man 120 years ago.

This provocative movie contains material which some members of the audience may find disturbing. It is however, a truthful and compelling account based on 12 months of extensive research throughout Australia. Tjapukai called for people to bring forward memories and imagery from the past and many of the bama saw photographs of relatives they had never known.

The storyline retells the effects of modern man's impact on a 40,000 year old culture, detailing the consequences of the fusion of two differing cultures and exploring the impact on tribal cultures today.

The presentation ends with video portraits of Tjapukai individuals, focusing on their hopes and aspirations for the future.

The theatre's design is deliberately multi-purpose and it is used extensively for incentives, conference groups and special events.
