Discover the world’s oldest living culture at Tjapukai’s Cultural Centre where you will be transported back 40,000 years with the mesmerising Dreamtime Creation Story of the Djabugay people in the Bulurru Story Waters Theatre.

An inspiring photographic exhibition and historic films reveal the diverse history of Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Step back into rainforest-inspired Canopy Breezeway to see Indigenous art before entering the Bundarra Dingal Theatre, shaped like a cassowary egg in honour of the ‘father’ of the Traditional Owners, to learn about the diversity of Australian Indigenous culture and how it is expressed through art.

The tantalising smell of meats cooked in the Bayngga, a traditional underground oven, will lead you to the Flame Tree Bar & Grill to enjoy a hot buffet lunch inspired by native bush foods.

Authentic Indigenous art and crafts are available at the Boomerang Gift Shop including didgeridoos, boomerangs, story stones, paintings and jewellery.
